Our Ministries
Sunday School
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing
the word of truth
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV)
Studying the Bible is essential for growing in your Christian
life.
Our Sunday School classes are centered
around teaching Biblical principles, and
learning more about Jesus Christ. Classes
are available for any person, regardless of
age. We have classes for children, teens,
ladies, men, couples, college & career, new
converts, and an auditorium class.
Classes meet at 10:00 - 10:45am before our
morning worship service. We look forward to
seeing you and your family in Sunday School.
Kids For Christ
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: (Psalm 127:3)
At Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church, the children are just as
important as the adults, and they are
encouraged to grow in ministry and learn as
much about the Lord, Jesus Christ as
possible.
Our Kids For Christ program focuses on
Biblical teachings and how to apply them to
everyday life's situations. The class levels
are Nursery 0 - 2 years, 3 and 4 year olds, Kindergarten
/ 1st grade, 2nd, and 3rd grade, and
4th and 5th grade. The KFC classes are
available during our Sunday morning Worship.
Youth Ministries
We have many activities to offer the young people of our
community, such as classes, mission trips,
youth choir, festivals, and more! If you are
a young person in middle, or high school,
there is a place for you, here, in our youth
ministries.
MasterLife Discipleship Course
MasterLife is a developmental, small-group discipleship process
that will help people to develop a lifelong,
obedient relationship with Christ. Classes
are around 12 people per class which meets
once a week for either a 6 month or 1 year
commitment.
You may say, "What is in it for me?"
The goal of MasterLife is your relationship--for you to become
like Christ. To do that, you must follow
Jesus, learn to do the things he instructed
his followers to do, and help others to
become his disciples. In these ways,
MasterLife will enable you to discover the
satisfaction of following Christ as his
disciple and the joy of a relationship with
him. MasterLife was designed to help you
make the following definition of
discipleship a way of life:
Christian discipleship is developing a
personal, lifelong, obedient relationship
with Jesus Christ in which he transforms
your character into Christlikeness, changes
your values into kingdom values, and
involves you in his mission in the home, the
church, and the world.
AWANA Program
Our Awana program is began in 2006, and we have had a great
response from the parents and children.
Awana is focused on teaching the children
about the Bible and Jesus Christ. The
children learn to memorize scriptures, and
participate Bible-related games and
activities. The program meets on Wednesday
nights,7:00 - 8:30pm.
Brotherhood Fellowship
At Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church, the men (brotherhood) meet
once a month in the church fellowship hall
for breakfast. During the breakfast, we have
devotionals, prayer, and preaching. The
Brotherhood is for young and old alike, and
we are sure that you will leave one of our
meetings blessed and enlightened! We
strongly encourage you to come and be apart of our fellowship!
The Brotherhood meets every third Saturday
of each month at 8:30am.
Ladies' Fellowship
The Ladies' Fellowship enables the women of the church to meet
together and get to know each other outside
of the church services. During the ladies'
meetings, we have speakers for devotionals,
prayer requests, and testimonies.
The Ladies' Fellowship is responsible for
some of our banquets such as, the
Valentine's Banquet for couples, and the
Mother-Daughter Banquet for moms and their
daughters.
The ladies meet every second Tuesday night of each month at 7:00
pm in the church fellowship hall. We
encourage every lady who hasn't participated
to come and sit in on one of the ladies'
meetings.
Senior Saints
At Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church, the seniors have the
opportunity to fellowship with one another
through our Senior Saints ministry. The
group has frequent meetings at the church,
potluck dinners, and field trips. If you are
55 or older want to get better acquainted
with the other seniors in the church, we
encourage you to come to one of the Senior
Saints meetings.
Internet
Ministry
The church website was
initially launched in August 2004. Since its
launch we have been able to add webcasts and audio
sermons online for everyone to be able to have
"church" with Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church. This
internet site serves as a "mission-minded" ministry
for our church to reach everyone with the Gospel of
Christ, and for everyone to get acquainted with our
church family. We pray that many lives will be
touched through the internet ministry.
AngelFood
Ministries
In 2008, the AngelFood
Ministry was added to our ministry portfolio.
Through AngelFood, our church can help people to buy
food at an economical price. Anyone can
purchase food from the ministry, and food can also
be purchased with Food Stamps. For more
information about AngelFood, contact us or visit
